The Home Repair Program's financial assistance is in the form of zero-interest (0%), fully forgivable loans offered through HRDC. ​
Energy Efficiency
Improvements could include replacing a boiler, increasing insulation, replacing windows, and sealing air leaks.
Health & Safety
Improvements could include replacing a roof, repairing plumbing
leaks, fixing faulty electrical wiring, and remediating mold.
ADA Accessibility
Improvements could include modifying entryways, installing railings and grab bars, and replacing door knobs with handles.

Home Repair Loan Terms
HRDC loans $40,000+ with a 15-year term

0% interest; no monthly payments
6.6% of the total loan amount is forgiven every year the homeowner continuously occupies their home.
The loan is fully forgiven if the homeowner continuously occupies the home for the full 15-year term.
